We did it!

So, we have always wanted to try camping as a family by ourselves, but never got around to it. I think maybe because we didn't know how it would go! This past weekend though, we took the plunge and headed to Lake Elmo Park reserve for two nights, and we survived! The weather was really really crazy though. It rained while we sent up the tent, and then it would stop raining, and then start raining. We all slept OK the first night though. Then Saturday the weather was more crazy! It would pour rain, and then get really hot, and then pour, and then get really hot. Then that night it was so windy!! I was surprised that our tent held up to it! Camping is for sure a lot of work, but I think the girls had a really good time, so that was worth it. One cool thing was at night there were so many fire flies! They just lit up the bushes.

Hannah never really liked me to put stuff in her hair when she was younger, so it's been a little bit fun that they now ask me to put stuff in their hair.

Star Wars

The other day I got to take Bill to the Stars War exhibit at the Science Museum as part of his Father's Day present. It's was pretty cool. I think that he probably enjoyed the exhibit more than I did, but I thought it was pretty cool to see the stuff. Seeing the costumes of the characters was cool. Our neighbor works at the museum, so he got us cheaper tickets which was great. And, he also gave us a back stage tour of the omni theater. It was very interesting to see! He also showed us the best place to sit during the omni theater showing! It was actually the first time I had scene and omni theater movie! I was impressed. All in all, it was a fun little adventure.

The Grizzly Bears

We went to the zoo again on Saturday. We met Bill's sister there. It's the second time that we have gotten to see the new Grizzly Coast. It's a pretty cool exhibit. The bears are really fun to watch!

Not something we usually do

This past weekend we got to see two movies. We usually don't watch too many movies cause of little kids and time, but this weekend we got two in! Bill and I got to go and see the second Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian on Saturday. It was really good! Then on Father's Day my brother came over in the evening and we watched Casino Royal. I believe that this is the first James Bond movie that I have scene in it's entirety! It was OK. Better than I thought it would be!

Florida

We were able to go to FL at the end of May to see Bill's sister graduate from high school. It was fun. The weather was in the 90's, we went swimming a lot, and went through a lot of sunscreen! They took us to their time share, which was very nice. There were 4 different pools and a lazy river. They even had this island you could take a boat to, which we did, but when we got there they started evacuating people cause a storm was coming. At least we got a nice little boat ride! Way to go Redwings!

I just thought I would give a quick shout out to the Detroit Redwings! My favorite hockey team just won the Stanley cup! Hurray for them!
