the tooth saga

So, we got to go to MI to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa while Bill traveled for work, which was fun. The first night was crazy though. It always seems like the first night is the hardest to adjust! We finally get Hannah to go down, and then I hear my sister go in and tell her to "stop banging on the wall, your going to knock my stuff down!" So then Hannah starts crying and saying, "I miss my daddy, I want my daddy!" So, I thought I would be clever and try to distract her by saying, "why don't you show grandma your loose teeth?!" Well, this was the wrong move. My mom looks in her mouth and was like, "Wow, one of the teeth is gone!". I was like, "what?!" And then I looked, and sure enough, one of the teeth was gone, and we couldn't find it! I felt kind of bummed, like the girl's first loose tooth comes out, and we don't know where it is, or when it came out! And then we thought, she may have even swallowed it! So then we were like, maybe the other one should come out so she doesn't swallow that one. Well, boy oh boy! It took like over an hour of convincing, and calling Bill on the phone many times before we could convince her that this is what she should do.

Finally I got a pull at it, and it almost came out, but it was bleeding so I got her a paper towel, and then finally shortly after about midnight, I finally pulled it all the way out. We were all pretty tired after this, but all much calmer! We asked Hannah if she wanted to touch it, and she was like, No way! So then we put it in a baggie to put under her pillow, but when we stuck it under the pillow, she wouldn't put her head on the pillow! So we ended up putting it under my pillow! She was pleased in the morning though, when she woke up and found two dollars under her pillow. She got a little extra cause she was at grandma's house. I just fear that the next time she gets a loose tooth, she might be horrified! So we are hoping that she won't get another loose one for a long while!!

I think $2 for a tooth makes up fo the lost one!
